Thursday Night Lights

A couple of weeks ago, I returned to the New York Botanical Garden for a nighttime viewing of Dale Chihuly’s glass artwork. This is Sol del Citrón, which is located in front of the Conservatory.

While I had my tripod handy for the outdoor sculptures, I mostly used my hexapod. It’s a bit more versatile and takes up almost no room. I picked it up a few years back after getting tired of indoor spaces where they’re not allowed. This includes the Conservatory, where there really isn’t much space to begin with. Reactions to it are mixed. Some are intrigued. Others get a little scare. 🙂 Generally, no one really notices or cares.
